Had been contemplating a pair of Kevlar Jeans for a couple of years without actually taking the plunge until now. Was a bit sceptical at the price but, the reviews were more than favourable so, I just went for it. My normal jeans are a 32" waist and I like a longer leg length of 33-34". Ordered a pair in that size and on receipt of them, I was immediately struck by the quality however, on trying them on, whilst I could get them on, they just would not have been a practical proposition for day to day use. I ordered the next waist size up and they are a perfect fit however, whilst the quality is still exceptional, the finish is not as pleasing as the first pair. The first pair were almost verging on a Stonewashed Blue with Orange stitching, the second pair are much more Indigo with Yellow stitching and, personally, not as nice. Never had the figure for leather jeans and, coming back to biking after a 20 year gap, I wanted something that offered a bit more protection than just a normal pair of denim jeans so I decided to go for these. I'd previously checked out some of the comments regarding motorbike jeans and was forewarned that they might not fit the same as a pair of standard jeans but these aren't bad at all and, with a couple of caveats, are very comfortable to wear. I normally take a 29" leg and (ahem) 36" waist so went for the 30" leg and 38" waist which works fine. The denim is heavier than usual but quite flexible so you don't feel like you're wearing something that has been starched and needs a couple of washes to be broken in. The jeans are well made and, whilst they may not be as stylish as a pair of 501's, you won't stand out for the wrong reasons when away from the bike.
